Incy Wincy pt 2

Post by Dearis »

Hi there,

here is part 2 of my weekend spiders, was lucky to find this fellow and to get nice afternoon light, still learning what are the best angles for photographing spiders.

This is a young huntsman spider although he/she was about 6cm (2") across. They are a great spider to photograph because once they settle after being disturbed they stay still, a case of if I freeze you can't see me.

Comments and criticisms are welcome

Regards Darren

Thanks Ken and Tim when alarmed huntsman flatten out for sure. I find thier name fairly disturbing "hunts man" but they are a cool spider, going loking for a larger version today.

I looked at the picture before I red the description and I thought the spider was dead  Even the joints on the legs look inflated from being stepped on. I love the arrangements on his eyes. Excellent photos Darren
