Yellow Stagshorn

Post by Bruce Williams »

Yellow Stagshorn Calocera viscosa growing on old conifer stump. I'd estimate the tallest head to be about 4cm.

Minolta A2, ISO100, 100s at f/9. Hand-held, pop-up flash.

Hi Matty - Thanks for your encouraging words - as to being good to eat - well.....nope they're completely inedible, but I don't know if they're poisonous or not?

Now that is a fungus of a different color and shape. An excellent & unusual find Bruce. I like the whole miniature landscape look to the picture.
