a feather?
I was gonna say that but its missing the barbs that usually appear on a feather. How about an insect wing but what kind of insect :-k :?:

To me it looks leaf-like at the moment. Smooth, not much fine scale surface texture, slightly glossy, regular ribbing, chlorophyll green. But none of the plants that I'm familiar with look exactly like this. So I dunno. I'm just gonna let it sit in my head for a while.

I am thinking leaf as well, perhaps a palm frond of some sort.

Well I assume that Sue has a lot of "stuff" in her garden at home. So the possiblity of it being the leaf of what could be a very large plant is a good possiblity. :-k

jmlphoto - You got it. A feather. It was tricky, since the feather is from Bud Buddy:

That must be "text talk". I do not text...

BTW..( ), the feather came off naturally. I did not pluck my bird for the feather.

Dunno what you would call it. We used to do stuff like that when I was a kid. Harry Truman was the Pres. when I was born, so we won't go into much detail.

Hhmm, me too. I had to look that up. Never thought to ask, and I don't seem to have any personal memories...

That's an interesting feather, Sue. What part of the bird is it from? And does it look that smooth in person, or is the photo making it look that way?

Rik

I think the feather is off his back. Tail feathers are a lot longer. It is very smooth looking, and a bit different for what one would consider for a feather. I was surprised JML got it on the first post.

cool, i was thinking maybe it was a feather of some sort, it reminded me of the sulphur creasted cockatoo feathers i collected about two or three months ago.
