Eye of Toad

Post by georgedingwall »

Hi all,

I found this dead baby toad this morning while out walking the dogs. It is about 25mm (1 inch) long.

This image was taken with my D200 fitted with an EL Nikkor enlarger lens inverted on a Pentax bellows with one set of extension tubes. The camera assembly was mounted on my home made focussing rail and the image was made from a stack of exposures.

Here is a wider view of the same toad.

This image was also taken with my D200, but this time with just my Sigma 150mm macro lens attached. As before, the camera was mounted on the focussing rail and a stack of images was used to create the final image.

Bye for now.

Yep...those are the eyes of death. The great circle of life. Unusual subject, very good stack.
