I won't venture into bug identification, but I agree with Dave W, a intreging shot of an everyday subject.

I agree with Arlon, they both seem to be some kind of shield bugs, so named because of their resemblance to shields medieval soldiers used I believe.

I have seen a few pen points before and they are always incredible to look at. An excellent view of something very common in everyday life.
