Just some Fungi Fotos.

Post by beetleman »

Three I took back in July. It was very wet that week. I believe it was the same day I took the colorless flower Pictures. I had to use the flash because it was so dark in the forest that day, that is why everything is glowing with little lights (all except the green mushrooms). Picture #1 a Myxomycete? I sneezed right before I took picture 3 "sorry" (only kidding)

Pretty nice images there Doug. :D The first appears to be Ceratiomyxia fruticulosa, quite a common myxo found on decaying wood and on the bark of live trees at times. The third appears to be some sort of "ear" fungi. The second I have no idea other than maybe some kind of bracket fungi. :-k

the last pic is great, i love the way it looks and the colors it has in it. im pretty sure i have a picture of that green spikey looking stuff, but it is more clumped and the tops are orange, kind of like it is on the left top corner of the picture where its slightly yellow. any idea what it is?
