Phragmolites dyeri - 14 frame stack

Post by Bruce Williams »

This is the final posting of images taken from the 460 million year old Ordocician sea bed slab. If you haven't already checked them out please see these earlier postings:

(1) Showing the whole 1.75 inch square
(2) Showing close-ups on bryozoan

This was the most difficult subject and it took me several attempts to get something close to what I wanted. The main problem was lighting to bring out the fine detail in this very rare and beautiful gastropod.

Nikon D80, ISO 100, 14 frame CombineZM stack plus post processing in CS3.

Very, Very beautiful work Bruce. You have captured great detail and sharpness in the specimen.
