I found this little guy,, and I mean little,, he was probably 1/2" in lenght,, he was hanging on top of that grass stalk,, the wind was blowing,,, what a tough subject to photograph,,,, you wouldnt believe how much he was whipping on that grass stalk,,, but I gotta tell ya,,, there is just something I like about these lil fellas :D :D

Katydids nymphs come in small, extra small and ridiculously small. I have had some luck with ID posting an image on Bugguide and sometimes you get additional information.

I know we are not to post supporting images but I hope this link to one of my bugguide posts is allowable. It contains the post I enjoyed offered the opinion that only 5% of katydid nymphs are tied to the adults so you might know as much as anyone if you can keep an eye on this guy as he grows into whatever it is.
