Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, captive subject, 180mm macro and ai servo focusing<!>, flash-only lighting. I know, I'm not too wild about the background either. But I love the snake!

I think the background is OK IMO. The snake is very much the center of attention. I didn`t see the background until you mentioned it. Good action shot of the tongue.

Not so much the tounge that interests me but the intricate structure of the scales on the underside of the head. If it did that to my grandmother, she'd slap its face. :lol:
