There are two of these hanging out together in my mums. The other one had his/her head hidden in the leaves.

Thanks Ken and Mike. This is a crop (about 50%). I could have used my close-up macro filter, but the DOF is almost nil so I opted for the crop instead.

Very nice mantis shot Sue. Good colour and it has a real sense of texture, you can imagine what the thorax would feel like to touch :).

Interesting angle too.

Mantises (manti?) are always beautiful and interesting to look at. An awesome angle on this one Sue.
