Hello, Mo -- welcome aboard! :D

I'm seeing a picture that looks like a bee on Buddleia, size 440x330 pixels.

If that's what you intended, then everything seems to be working fine.

To answer your question: No, you don't need a gallery of your own. Just post here in the Macro and Close-up gallery, like you did. Your name will be attached automatically to each of your posts. It will also appear on the index page at http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... m.php?f=13 .

PS. Your image does look a bit dark. If you're new to posting images on the internet, it's probably a good idea to compare your images against those in a lot of other postings to get a feel for how bright is needed. There's a lot of variation between monitors. Looking at posted images is a good way to get at some sort of "happy medium" that works pretty well across the gamut.

No you don't need a gallery Mo. Looks as though you have figured the uploading process out. Pretty nice first pic I must say. :smt023 A bit on the "blue"side but okay. Sharpness and composition look good, could be a bit larger but that too is up to you. Our maximum size is 800 pixels on the longest side of the image, with a file size of no more than 200kb. :D

Hi there over the North Sea, Mo.
Shown on your photograph above is a syrphid fly (Insecta: Diptera: Syrphidae), IMHO.

Cheers,
Betty

Ya know, come to think of it, that does look a lot like a syrphid fly.

Mo, I know you're a beekeeper, but you said elsewhere that you didn't know what kind of bee this was. I'm thinking that Betty may have the clue to the mystery here. :D
