Bud Winged Stick

Post by pwiles1968 »

Another Stick Insect Head shot, these are Phaenopharos khaoyaiensis Bud Winged or Red Winged Stick Insects, they have little red wings on their abdomen which are covered by camouflaged section's, they flash the wings to startle predators.

I love these fellas. They are supposed to make very good pets. They do look kind of creepy up close but I know they are completly harmless.
I agree on the eyes
