The common American Toad

Post by beetleman »

Bufo Americanus. Found this fella (could be a girl also) near the wood pile. He doesn`t look to happy with me in his face taking pictures but he took it like a man.

Great close ups there Doug. You can see yourself in his eye and it looks as though there is a "booger" in his nose or nostrile :?:

A fine specimen nicely captured Doug ... all that's missin' is a Princess for 'kissin' n' wishin' :)

(Always a bonus imo, if can get a 'self portrait - in eyes / bubbles etc, too )

What you see in the eye is me laying down on the ground, the toad is in the shade. In the background there is a grassy spot in the sun and a rock wall as well as the sky. I am not a Princess, maybe that is why he looks grumpy..."Is this old guy going to try and kiss me...yuck"
