Same guy on all three pics but different grass. :D
Seems it has one broken antenna.
Handheld and full frame (#1 & #2, #3 is a crop of #2).
Looks like it has some sort of eyelid. (see #3) 8)

Crisp! One of the ringlets, like our Coenonympha tullia -- sorry, I don't know the European species.

But I am puzzled -- what is this "eyelid" you speak of? :?

Yes, I agree on the focus...very sharp. And a beautiful little BF. I see what you mean by an eyelid :D Makes the eye look like a spotlight :wink:

Beautiful images. The BF are starting to come around my garden, so hopefully I will have a few images to post soon.

I see the "lid" in the third image, or at least what appears to be an eyelid.
