Caridina japonica larvae
Hi all, this photo was made with a Canon 300 D Rebel.
It was made by using this method http://diymacrolens.blogspot.com/
This lovely creature is a Caridina japonica 3-4 days old larvae/zoea.
The photo could be sharper if this 1mm creature would stay still for a second
Flash was used, 800 ASA, exp.1/60sec,
There was some reflection against the black background from the window, giving me some "back light".
This photo was cropped. Color balanced and sharpened (Photoshop)
Nice forum BTW.
Kind regards, Dusko
When I was living in Dublin, I use to pass through the St. Stephen's Green park a lot, and at one time I saw this Chinese guy taking the lens off the camera and placing it the other way around, getting very close to the flower! Hm...as soon I was home I took my camera out to see what is behind that trick... That is how I discovered it
Yes it is the famous Amano shrimp. Takashi Amano was the first man that introduced it to the aqua hobby as the ultimate algae eater. It originates from Yamato swamps (Japan).
Thanks for the comments Ken.
Kind regards, Dusko.
