Hello all
After reading a lot I decided to make my first post. I am from Denmark and not really a macro photographer. But once in a while I like to get close
I use the Plastic Fantastic Cosina macro 100mm.
C&C more than welcome as I just are getting started.

A very warm welcome to the forum Lahnet
You've done a very nice job with the hover fly, making best use of the available depth of field (dof). Good dynamic viewpoint too.
Pic1 of the poppy seed-head is very effective artistically, employing a creative viewpoint on a common object. The shot might have benefited from a smaller aperture (if available) to increase dof as IMO the centre of the head is a just a little soft.
I just did a quick read of a couple of reviews on the "Plastic Fantastic" and am very impressed with the results you are getting. Were the shots hand-held or did you use fill flash? Also I would be interested to see information on the shutter speed and aperture.

I presume it is this one made by Cosina that is marketed under several of the brand names Cosina bought up from former camera makers that have now ceased trading:-
"There are on the world market a number of almost identical 100mm f/3.5 macro lenses, all manufactured by Cosina in Japan. They are branded as Cosina, Phoenix, Vivitar and Voigtländer. The Pentax 100mm f/3.5 macro lens appears to be the same lens as well. The subject of this review will be my Phoenix AF 100mm f/3.5 Macro Telephoto."

Lahnet,
Welcome to the forums! This is great -- it is still first thing in the morning for me, and already you have had greetings and comments from four other people. Just another illustration of our growing world-wide community.
I have never encountered the Plastic Fantastic lens before. The name sounds like a kid's toy, but that syrphid fly looks as good here as one from any other lens.
One administrative detail... Please be aware that these images are larger than allowed by the forum guidelines. We allow up to 800x800 pixels, file size 200 KB or smaller. Yours here are both larger and longer than that. It's no big deal -- a very common mistake for new members -- but please be sure your images fit within the guidelines in future postings.
Again, welcome to the forums! We hope to see lots more of your lovely images in the future.

rjlittlefield -Sorry about the pictures size
DaveW I do not have steady hands, but a some beers and the Sony in-house stabilisation system sometime works quite nice.
EDIT: This is the one, http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/detail.asp?IDLens=236

My first macro lens was the Vivitar label of this lens in Canon mount. Very good buy for the money.
I especially like the top shot here. Welcome, Lahnet! Show us some of those weird Danish macro subjects (I'm sure you have some, like every other country! ).
