This is a similar story to BeetleMan's. I was putting up a fence for a friend and almost chopped this chap in two with my spade. (I know the blade of grass in front of him is a little distracting )

Excellent photos Phil. Nice and sharp focus. Did a little searching and came up with this link to the "Common Frog". They seem to be very variable in color according to this link. Yours looks just like the first one. Yours seems to have the ID markings but very very light in color.

Hi ya' Phil,
The first couple of images may be a bit tight in the frame but I do very much like the third image. I'm accustomed to seeing green frogs. Wgat's with the brownish colors?
