You've done a good job at avoiding glare which I find can be quite a problem with the highly reflective wingcase on ladybirds and similar. I assume (from the soft shadows) that this was taken using available light not flash?

What lens did you use Dave?

Thank you Bruce...this shot was taken with a Tamron SP90 Di with no flash
