Two shots of the giant ants I photographed in Qatar. They were/are huge. About 1/2 inch in length if not bigger.

I think I had all 3 extension tubes on for this shot? I can't remember. LOL

This shot is a little hot... I didn't have a diffuser with me or a flash bracket to move the flash to the end of the lens. This is with the 580ex in the hot shoe.

Great shots, That is a Camponotus sp. Carpenter ant, NO clue as to the species though.
