Around the yard today

Post by microcollector »

As the day dawned sunny and calm, I took the opportunity to take a few photos around the yard. These were taken with a hand held Nikon D50 and a Micro Nikkor 105 mm lens.

All three are beautiful Doug. I especially like the second one. There is something about the colors and the one flower being in focus, which smacks me in the frontal lobe. I like the backlighting on the first picture but I probably would have tried to take that web out of the picture in post processing…a little distracting because it leads Right to the flower.

Beautiful series Doug. I particularly like the graceful flow of #3. I have a small suggestion for #1. A small reflecter aimed as the stigma would have lightened the center of the flower and brought out some of the interior detail without changing the beatiful backlighting through the petals.

Irwin.
