These are beautiful, I really like that verticle :D The second is nice also but I detect a dirty sensor. A clean soft cosmetics brush could take care of that. :wink: You could not ask for a better background in the first, I think. :D

Yep, the first one is a classic insect shot. Perfect focus and DOF and as ken stated, the background is wonderful and highlights the insect to the max. The second photo is not that out of focus to be distracting and it shows a lot of action and insect form IMO.
