A couple of pictures of what I consider a weed in my flowerbeds....grows everywhere like a little creeping vine. It does have some pretty small interesting flowers though. Field of view in the first picture is a little shy of 4".
EDIT: Betty has ID this plant as Glechoma hederacea which, after doing some searching, looks good to me. Thank you Betty .

Doug, the plant you nicely photographed looks to me like Glechoma hederacea.
A herb which is common on nutrient-rich and not to dry soils over here in the Old World. Native to Europe and NW-Asia it has been introduced to the US, as so many other plant species.
(I hope you don´t mind being provided with an ID suggestion you haven´t been asking for?! )
