Weeds amongst the rocks

Post by beetleman »

A couple of pictures of what I consider a weed in my flowerbeds....grows everywhere like a little creeping vine. It does have some pretty small interesting flowers though. Field of view in the first picture is a little shy of 4".
EDIT: Betty has ID this plant as Glechoma hederacea which, after doing some searching, looks good to me. Thank you Betty  .

Well these are tiny again. You are getting some good ratios and shots. These remind me of miniature Orchids. This is where man meets nature in macro.

All the best way up north , good seeing

Danny.
Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself.

The joy of discovery is probably the primary reason I like macro. Good work Doug.

Doug, the plant you nicely photographed looks to me like Glechoma hederacea.
A herb which is common on nutrient-rich and not to dry soils over here in the Old World. Native to Europe and NW-Asia it has been introduced to the US, as so many other plant species.

(I hope you don´t mind being provided with an ID suggestion you haven´t been asking for?! :D )

So long,
Betty

Thanks everyone. Betty, IDs are always welcome and enjoyed. I like putting a name to my pictures  :smt023
