You know it could be just me but your 400D seems to have lost some of its sharpness and color contrast and that could be due to the Marumi Macro filter, that you have made reference of. :-k I really do not think the extention tube would cause such a thing. However, these are quite good up close and personal shots of these aphids, especially the second one. :smt023

Agree, Marumi isn't near quality as Canon 500D or Canon 250D macro filter. Also, Canon EF 85 mm f/1.8 USM lens is a little bit soft itself.

I like the way they look stuffed with food and all bloated. I cannot wait till you get your macro lens. :wink:
