I like the first picture. The way everything is shifted to the right and the green leaves flowing downward with the insect (looks like a soft-winged flower beetle-Family Melyridae ) focused and centered. very soft like a watercolor. Is that a wild rose I smell???

Thanks Doug. :D
Watercolor softness of everything not strictly in the focus is a characteristic of this lens at 1.8 aperture.
Flower does look like a wild rose but the plant has a solid tree appearance.
