The wind is howling around the eaves of the house, trees are down all over, and the power went out at work so we got the rest of the day off. Luckly I have power at home...for now Here's more of my ant shots, maybe not the greatest but...

Never have I seen black aphids before, maybe the sudden change in our temperatures got to them, maybe they are frost bitten . That "Nor-Easter" has really brought them, the temperatures, down here of late but it is beginning to warm up again.

Not really sure what those last two are "gooning" over but what ever it is it seemed as though they liked it.
Well...er...um...uh, some ants

We got a little snow here in the mountains but not really enough to say grace over. The straight line winds have really been the news maker around here, besides all that shooting at VA Tech. Wasn't that a shocker?!
I never thought of it but maybe that is some sort of scale insect in the last image, that the ants are gooning over. Lots of insects ooze honeydew.
Thanks Doug
