Echinocereus knippelianus ssp. kreugeri seedlings.

Seed set 2005, British two pence coin for scale is exactly 1" (25mm) diameter. Pot is also 2" square.

Really a nice image and a great comparison. These remind me of the small candies that I used to see at the confectionary =P~ many years ago as a small boy but without the spines of course.

It probably goes to show how well kept they are by the person that grows them. They are "Very Happy" cactus. The coin is a great touch.

The methods called studied neglect Bruce! I just stuck them on the top shelf of the greenhouse in full sun and left them. Friends who have tried this have "fried" theirs, so with the greenhouse being quite high I must have quite a good air circulation, though this shelf is up near the eves.

As you will note I also left them in the pot they were sown in without pricking them out yet. They seem to grow quicker if crowded!
