1964 :!: I was in the tenth grade :lol: Really a spiney cactus, these are the ones that really get you I bet. Beautiful shot :D

The spines in the above plant are flattened not circular in section (sword shaped) but not papery, rather like stiff plastic sheet and the tip is quite sharp!
