Known as the "Glory of Texas", the Thelocasctus bicolor has a truely spectacular flower. Each of the images was image stacked. Hope you enjoy

As a graduate of West Texas State University, I have to shout out SA-LUTE!
Lovely images of a great bloom. I think the first image might use a bit more sharpening.

A really beautiful flower Irwin....and some great stack jobs also. Looks like #2 had a little problem with the stack but the important stuff is great (they look like sugered jelly candy ).

Thank you Mike, Doug and Dave for your thoughts and comments. . This cactus will withstand some freezing, very undemanding--thankfully it does not mind being ignored for periods of time. Curiously, the color substantially deapens the longer the bloom stays open.
As Dave's plant shows, it is a wonderful flower.
