I do apologise if I didn't understand properly about how many photos one can publish in 24 hours in different threads (not my mother tongue :? ) but these two just belong together. I didn't have hearth to separate them :wink:

Canon 300 D Rebel, side flash, hand held, Aquarium low light, 800 ASA, cropped and sharpened.

A very beautiful fish. Not many have the opportunity of finding these in their Local Pet shops and even when they have, very few notice how colorful the Peacock Gudgeons are. To see their full color one has to use camera and flash :D

If I did break the posting rule please notify me so I can take some of the photos out. Thanks.
Kind regards, Dusko.

Yes, you're over the limit -- two images in this topic, plus two images added today in yesterday's topic, makes a total of 4 images posted today in this forum.

The limit of three images per day per "forum" means for example three anywhere in the "Macro and Close-up Photography Gallery", three anywhere in "Photography Through the Microscope Gallery", and so on. We don't count threads/topics, just images.

Hope this helps to clarify the rule. You're not the first to read it wrong, and no doubt won't be the last. :D

You might want to pull back one of pictures in the other post, and hold it for another day, rather than break up this lovely pair.

Two very nicely photographed images Dusko and two very beautifully marked fish. Your side-flash and aquarium lighting has worked very well indeed to bring out the almost irridiscent colouring.

I don't know this species but they remind me a bit of some Killifish I kept (wow! more than 40 years ago :shock: ). The male and female in your pics look quite similar to each other - the male has more red rays on his gill covers and seems a little heavier in the head maybe?

I bred various Lake Malawi Cichlids for many years but never thought to try taking photos of them. Seeing your excellent results makes me want to kick myself for not having tried :evil: :lol:

Are you breeding them?

Bruce :D

Ok, sorry. I understand the rule now. I will know better in the future time.
Since this was posted yesterday I guess it is ok to leave that image instead of taking it away and posting it again today... :lol: I will just post not more than 2 images today. Hope this sound reasonable.
Thanks for understanding :D
Are you breeding them?
Well not really, they kind of bred them selves :lol: :wink: They are easy to breed, just feed artemia and rock n roll baby.
Here is a photo of P. Gudgeon fry on a peace of stone (one day before hatching into the free swimming form, ignore the photo quality please I know it is scratching the eye);
