Good to see you back cyclops....we missed you  A new camera  Great. Your subject is very interesting and different Larry "They don`t make them like that any more" Well worn and used looking and I like the angle. You think you will be able to use the new camera on your microscope?

Hi Larry - Coincidentally a close friend of mine brought round his new FZ7 for me to "have a play with" a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with the couple of dozen shots we took - particularly with the excellent colour and resolution and the IS worked a treat with that big 12X zoom.

Nice to see you back and posting :D

What gets me about cameras tho, is the fact that the macro setting only works on Wide, not Tele! All that potential magnification wasted!

You will have to get a lens like mine to use with The zoom (a diopter lens) which screws on the front like a filter , It works great on my camera.
I think Tom Webster has an article about using them (I cannot find it, if anyone has a link  ) The one I use is the canon 250D closeup lens. They come in 58mm and 52mm threads
