Kalmah, the Barraki

Post by Erland R.N. »

Cunning and ruthless, Kalmah uses his tentacle to squeeze his enemies. Commanding an army of giant squid and armed with a squid launcher, he may be impossible to stop.

Kalmah is a Barraki, an underwater creature.

2 times 30 sec. exposure in dark room, the Lego Bionicle figure lighted by flashlight. About 20%, 80 % mix of the exposures in PS.

Very creative, Erland. I really like it. You just inspired me to investigate the toyboxes in the house for photo props. :)

What a cool "Bionicle" I love the back lighting on the creature. Very nice indeed Erland. :smt023

Thank you both.
I enjoy experimenting "painting with light" on long exposures, and think I managed well to light up the creatures three eyes.

I been doing 3D modelling of next years Bionicle sets for the last two and a half month, so my childish side has been awoken :D Not designing the stuff, just preparing a model for plastic molding. If I was to design those sets, all would probably be insects look-alikes :D

Hopefully it will soon be time for insects and spring again.

thanks
Erland

Erland, marvelously creative image with strong, graphic composition; AND it even made me smile. 8) Having managed to spill a bunch of acid in my car today, that says alot.
