Amazon - Chance meeting of an Ant & Cicada

Post by crotermund »

It was just a brief moment that this ant came up to investigate the cicada, but I managed to get a shot off.

Sure is a fuzzy little ant, looks as though it has a fungus on it. I have never seen a cicada like that before either, the head of the insect is much different from what we are used to seeing here. :D

I agree, both insects are quite different than what we are used too...but that seems to happen a lot in the tropics  I guess the ant was a seed eater :D Excellent Craig
