Purple Mat

Post by gslaten »

Well, Ken isn't the only one groveling on the ground to take photos. This is a low lying plant known locally as Purple Mat. They are popping up here in great numbers now that spring is approaching. The flowers are about 1/4" in diameter.

I'm still waiting for my EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM. :?
Hey, you've even captured one small spider!

Hey these are pretty there Gary. Don't think I have seen them around here but that is not to say they aren't any. Sure enough, looks as though there is a Crab spider in the lower left corner. Very nice image Gary :D

Spring has sprung everywhere except here in NH. Do you think I will get any flower photos under maybe a foot of snow this weekend  I will just have to enjoy your beautiful pictures

Hi guys,

Thanks for the compliments. I haven't had much time to play lately, but with spring coming....

Macroluv, thanks for pointing out the spider. I hadn't noticed it. By the way, you will love the EF 100mm f2.8 Macro. It is a fine lens. Hope it shows up soon.
