As requested, here is a crop zooming in on this guy's head. This shows off his colors better. For reasons I now don't recall, I "opened up" from f/32 in the earlier shot to f/29 on this one.

The nasal salt glands many lizards have are pretty evident in this view!

He got some blue tones on his chin, does it mean he is angry? :shock:

I suspect those are breeding colors for the male, but don't know enough about these specific lizards to be positive.

Very cool, Mike. This is one neat reptile. You can really see the rows of teeth now. I bet they are pretty sharp. He doesn't look like he is a vegetarian. :lol:
