Another Trio of wonderful pictures Ken. The fly is awesome as well as the bee (they are all awesome, I`m just running out of things to say about this "AWESOME" set of pictures  ) . Do you have an Idea on the white stuff in pic one??. I am guessing the insects do not get much in the way of salts and minerals because of all the rain.

Doug,

No I don't, but I have seen it in several pictures; thus is quite common in this area.

Thanks for the comments. I am about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the series.

Well Ken, you better start withdrawing us off you pictures slowly because we are hooked on them. Start posting only one at a time till the end

A beautiful set of images, especially the first. As for the white stuff, since this is along the riverbank, could it be travertine? A lime deposit of sorts :D
