Amazon - NeedleNose Nymph?

Post by crotermund »

I'm not sure if this is a nymph of something or what exactly it is. I wouldn't be surprised if it is some type of hopper. Any identity assistance is appreciated. I suspect that the mosquito really had no interest in the insect, but merely found a place to land before it attacked me again.

I like the background on this one. Nice bonus with the mosquito. Would like to see it try to penetrate the armor on that fellow.

I am going to say it is a leafhopper nymph. It has those classic rear legs with the spines and the elbow bent near the second pair of legs. I would say the mosquito was eye balling you Craig  GEE, I just noticed the long tail on that fellow

That is going to be a dandy hopper when it matures.
