Amazon Pics Part 53

Post by Moebius »

Another butterfly

Image

This next guy (~1.5 cm) was quite intriguing. He was a metallic moth that hung around with all the butterflies and bees. Followed him around for quite a while on my hands and knees trying to get a pic of him; all the while trying to avoid using getting sand in the camera. He didn't want to ever stay still.

Very nice and intersting. Kind of Swallowtail and one little bee on #1. :D
What's that kind of soil, looks like a wet sand.
Metallic moth... #2 and #3? ... strange rounded wings
The meaning of beauty is in sharing with others.

P.S.
Noticing of my "a" and "the" and other grammar
errors are welcome. :D

Macroluv,

This was on the banks of one of the tributaries of the Amazon River, so yes, it is wet sand.

Totally incredible Ken….the first photo is a classic “one in a million” shot. A beautiful butterfly and a double capture with the bee flying in. The metallic moth is simply incredible also. I bet that is a new species…it has to be (sorry, I have to pick my jaw up off the floor and put my eyes back into their sockets) :smt023
