I don't know what this thing will turn into when he grows up, but he sure looks tough at this stage in his life.

It seems that the more ugly the caterpiller, the prettier the butterfly. (I made that up...not sure if it is true or not ,so don`t hold me to it :wink: )
Fantastic looking creature, it looks very hard-shelled also.

Tis a bit leathery looking. You know Doug is probably right though. The uglier the cat the prettier the butterfly or moth. Well if it does not turn into either, you could always pick it up by the tail and hit somebody with it or use it like a mace. :lol: Interesting critter for sure there Craig :D

Interesting beast, im thinking though this might be a beetle larva.

That was my first thought to, beetle larvae tend to be a bit more leathery and shiny than caterpillars. Really like the DOF, how big is this one Craig??
