This is the same species I showed yesterday, but a different subject. This one is twice the size (~2.5 cm)

Is more toxic even than the yellow & black poison dart frog.

Cute little beauties. How poison they are? Is it dangerous to have any wound while touching them? There is one little wound (or two) on your thumb, if that is your hand.

I don't know how to quantify their toxicity. That was our guide's hand and let's just say he only wished to hold it a short time and was adamant about washing thoroughly afterward. Though the guides do speak workable english, a language barrier still exists.

It would make sense to me that it would affect you faster through a wound, but that is just conjecture.
