A Couple of Red Ants

We finally got a bit of decent rain here the past twenty four hours and things have cooled down considerably. Still not to much of anything has began to stir but these ants are at least promising.

Hopefully our hot weather will be a thing of the past for a while anyway. I was surpised to see these ants out and about. Thanks Doug.

Ants are about all moving in yard this morning too. Nice colors and good find Ken.

I don't know what kind of flowers those are but they have a nice bright color to them. The plant is a vine of some sort and is kind of like honeysuckle in that it grows over everything. The ants seem to like them though. Thanks Sue.

Hey thanks for the comment and the ID Gordon and Welcome aboard.

Seems your familar with the insect world, that is good if you are because there are plenty posted on here. Well with the exception of our resident herpatologist MikeBinOklahoma, who dazzles us with extream close-ups of reptiles from time to time. Beetleman, Doug, is quite fond of insects also so you two should have plenty to converse over.
