I see you're cleaning up the images more. The histograms on these look much more even :-)
What IS that first one? Very strange looking. That third guy is also pretty interesting.
I like the way you captured that 'pillar in the second shot, sprawled out across the leaf.
Well done Ken.

Thanks for the comments Carl.
I am "learning as I go", mostly from you people on the forum. Have gotten good advice on adjustment layers/blending (Thanks Bruce), histograms, sharpening, etc. I will have to admit I am still not using all of these all the time due to time restrictions. I would like to get these Amazon photos shown before the new season rolls around, which means I cannot spend the time I would like. I bought a nice book on Photoshop CS2 that I am going through as well.
I will go back and further refine these techniques I have been shown so that I can fine-tune (well, basically reprocessing from scratch), those I deem worthy enough for a photobook. By then I hope to have become very familiar with all the different techniques given.
I appreciate the the help and please never hesitate to comment/criticize...you won't hurt my feelings (much).
This next season my goal is to work on better lighting and expand my range of comfort of ISO/aperture ranges. I am getting a good tripod and will experiment with natural light shots, as well as improving my flash shots. Wanted to take some shots with a tripod last year, but I counted 2 days last summer without a breeze of some sort. Doesn't do much good to keep the camera still if the subject is moving.
