Lemon fruit, Kaki Persimmon fruit (Diospyros kaki) and Acacia dealbata (Mimosa) flower, all collected at January 27th 2007 from the trees (grown outdoor!) of Opatija city. :D

What do you mean...signs of spring...did your winter pass already :shock: . Beautiful Fruitty mix. The Persimmon looks ready to eat, my mouth is watering right now =P~ :wink:

Well, when Mimosas get into bloom we consider it as a first sign of Spring.
Too late Doug, Kaki Persimmon fruit already eaten. And it was ...so ...so sweet ... mmmmm delicious. :D

Kaki Persimmons and Figs with Prosciutto Recipe

Ingredients:
4 ripe medium-size Kaki persimmons, cut lengthwise in half
10 ripe purple figs, cut lengthwise in half
4 oz. thinly sliced prosciutto
4 lemons, cut into wedges

Directions:
On each of 4 serving plates, arrange 2 persimmon halves and 5 fig halves. Evenly divide the prosciutto and drape over the fruit. Place the wedges of 1 lemon on one side of each plate and serve immediately. Pass the peppermill. 4 appetizer or light luncheon portions
