Big Hairy Scary Jumping Spider...

...was on the window sill in my daughter's room which is lucky, as she is only scared of dead spiders (don't ask me why!

). She is 24. I say lucky, coz if it had been in my son's room (he's 21) there would have been a helluva racket!

Boy, you are really getting up close and personal with these insects Steve. This is a wonderful shot, nice DOF on the spider IMO

I sympathize with your son. I just turned 39 on the 21st of Jan and I would still freak out at that sight

Nice image, good color on this one. He looks like a smaller specimen but it might just be the angle.

Thanks Doug & Ken. The background is a mixture of a painted window frame (we have timber windows) and the metal window winder.

Thanks Carl. Seems like if they are afraid when they are young, they don't change as they get older
