Rutpela maculata - a longhorn beetle

Post by MacroLuv »

Longhorn beetle - Rutpela maculata. :D
Or Leptura maculata as some sources suggest or even Strangalia maculata. What a mess!
Photographs were taken at July 1st 2006. - From hiking - Kamacnik Canyon - River Dobra - Devil's Passage.
Unfortunately, I didn't adjust lower F-number to benefit more DOF.
But maybe thanks to that I got a better looking bacground? :? :-k

Nice shots Nikola :D . During the summer months, I have these things in abundance here. They do make for some interesting subjects. :D

Nice looking beetle Nikola. Yellow and black always look great together IMO.
