Some photos from South Western Australia

Post by Marcus »

Here are a two photos I took near Nannup in South Western Australia whilst camping on the weekend.

There were a large number of bees on this particular wildflower

This tree frog was by the banks of the Blackwood River. It is commonly known as the Motorbike frog because its mating call sounds like a motorbike changing gears. Its scientific name is Litorea Moorei

Marcus,

Welcome back!

I see the film camera does not yet have you completely in its clutches.

These are nice shots. I like the arc of bee's wings in the first, and those colors are outrageous on the tree frog. :D

Nice shots Marcus. The first looks like a Scottish Thistle so would technically be a "weed" as opposed to a wildflower. We get them here in Tassie too...

Its a while since I've been to Nannup.

Both photos are great marcus...lots of action in the first one. Looks like he was off to the next flower. What can I say about the frog..beautiful blue eyes, great looking skin....if I were a frog prince......

Nice shots, Marcus! The metallic green and bronze skin on the frog is amazing.
