Aphids on Grass!

Aphids on Grass!

Haven't seen this before. These aphids were on two seed heads of this grass stem. No sign of any others in the vicinity. I thought it was a bit odd as I expect to see aphids on greener food sources...

Maybe I don't get out enough! :P

Maybe because the seed Head is ripining, the grass is loading the seeds up with sugars. They are there for some reason and good food is a great driving force for insects :wink: We love it when people get new toys on the forum..... SEE STEVE GO---GO STEVE GO" :wink:
