...I think a Robber Fly...this one over an inch long...

I upside-downed the image too. He was up in the rafters on our back verandah...

Wonderful overhead shot Steve.The things we do to get the picture. Nice robber fly but the background is a little busy. We cannot always pick a spot with insects.
