Without looking Bruce I think it was N. purpureus which is quite variable in flower colour from almost apricot to pinky-red. You may remember all the names that were going around for plants close to this when you were collecting like N. muegelianus, N. horstii etc. Reason I did not want to put the name on is I had not checked the plant in the greenhouse because these shots were taken early last year and I did not want to mislead. I will have to do a check.
All the best,

Old habits die hard Irwin. Parodia is the oldest name if they are combined and I suppose Parodia's generally are high altitude Notocactus, or are Notocactus low altitude Parodias?
Depends if you prefer Notocactus meaning "southern-cactus" or Parodia named after a gentleman named Parodi.
Keep your labels long enough and like women's fashions the names will be resurrected again!
Somebody on another site thought I had used a ring flash because of the black background. All the pictures were taken with available light, the background is a scrap of black velvet to produce a jet black, hopefully non-reflective, background. Don't know about in the US but you cannot seem to get any black velvet in the UK now, it seems to have gone out of fashion for womens clothes etc. I was after around a square meter of it but could not even find it on the Internet! I understand there is some foam core board available that is pretty good though?
