Diamond! ...and a new camera...

Got a new camera today (Sony DSC W70) and have been playing a bit. Took this image of a synthetic diamond with graphite inclusions...diamond is about 1mm across. Photo taken through scope eyepiece and cropped. The W70 doesn't have an optical zoom so you get vignetting (sp?) - rounded corners. The depth of field I seem to be getting and the image sharpness is much improved over my DSC P150.

That is a great looking diamond Steve. Love those natural facets. The new camera did good...congradulations and we get to share all your pictures. :wink:
