Ok, I used Rik's suggestion about the amount of time I hold the camera and my flash settings. So these images use the following settings:
18-55mm@55 +4+2+1 close ups, F22, 1/200s, ISO 100, Flash, Handheld
Not too bad, no? The sheep is mainly for texture and DOF which turned out pretty good. It's amazing to see the detail on Raven (the middle pic) when my normal eye doesn't see it. That figure is VERY small, about 3".
I was being creative with the paper background (since the cardboard box I used previously is now recycled). One of these days, I'll build a lightbox, but for now... :-)
